The Rotary Club of the Nene Valley meets on Thursday evenings at the Cheyne Walk Club in Northampton.

We are the organisers of the first Rotary Technology Tournament in this neck of the woods. Secondary school students in teams of 4 have to design and build  something in competition with teams from their own age and skill range.

In 2006  they had to grab and move a ball remotely.

In 2007 they had to construct a pipe-laying vehicle and,

In 2008 they had to create a bridge that could be opened to allow ships to pass under.

In 2009 they had to build and launch a satellite.
